Go Wild!

If you have never been to www.buildyourwildself.com, you should definitely check it out! Students choose from different physical attributes and create cartoon versions of themselves. A couple of years ago, I removed the backgrounds and used these for a Smartboard attendance file. Students moved their little person each morning as they entered the room. It was really cute!

Since this is a website for New York Zoos and Aquariums, they can also choose to add animal parts to their cartoon selves. What great inspiration for a creative writing piece! Students will also get interesting facts about each of the chosen animal parts.

However you choose to use this site, your students are sure to have fun with it! Enjoy!!
