www.buildyourwildself.com, you should definitely check it out! Students choose from different physical attributes and create cartoon versions of themselves. A couple of years ago, I removed the backgrounds and used these for a Smartboard attendance file. Students moved their little person each morning as they entered the room. It was really cute!
Since this is a website for New York Zoos and Aquariums, they can also choose to add animal parts to their cartoon selves. What great inspiration for a creative writing piece! Students will also get interesting facts about each of the chosen animal parts.
