When I was younger, I wanted to be one of two things when I grew up: an "Army man" like my Dad or a teacher. I have been fortunate enough to do both. I am a veteran...I served 5 years in the Army before voluntarily separating as a Captain to pursue a career in education. I have been teaching for 14 years now, and I absolutely love it!
I am a devoted wife and the very lucky Mommy to a sweet four year old boy and two chihuahuas. I am an elementary educator, with most of my experience in grades 1-3. I have a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, with a concentration in Literacy. I enjoy learning and trying new things, and I am excited about sharing ideas on this blog!
